Shieldcoat products are Australian made to suit all climates both cold and hot.  Shieldcoat is a quality assured company ISO9001-2000 and our products meet Australian Standards in paint manufacture having passed our internal strick quality controls.  This ensures you the customer recieves the best possible product.

SHIELDCOAT was established in 1996 by Mark and Siv Slater. SHIELDCOAT is a speciality boutique manufacturer of safe and innovative coating products. One of the founding directors, Mark, has several years experience in the hardware and ceramic tile industries and is currently a member of the Surface Coating Association of Australia with the professional grading of Asc. He has a reputation and profile amongst other major companies within the industry for his integrity and outstanding technical knowledge, which has established SHIELDCOAT as one of the true leaders in its field.

Mark provides group vision and direction, and is committed to ensuring that the values and standards of the groups are preserved and enhanced. Mark is involved in the national and international development of SHIELDCOAT, including the development of major strategic relationships throughout Australia, South-East Asia, the USA and Europe.

SHIELDCOAT, the specialist in roof coatings and flexible pointing, manufacture an extensive range of safe water based boutique coating products. We pride ourselves on our quality products. Finding it hard to match an existing colour? At SHIELDCOAT colour matching is our specialty.

We also have the ability to develop specific coatings to meet each customer's particular requirements. Our innovative products can be applied to both new and restorative work. SHIELDCOAT's commitment to research and development and expertise in protective coatings provides you with the comfort that you will always be using a quality product designed specifically for the task at hand.

All of our water based products are based on 100% Acrylic Resin, the balance being defoamer, disperser, mould inhibitor, drying agent, thickener and pigmentation. As we also grind our own colour dispersions we maintain total quality control over our products. No unnecessary extenders are added to the product, thus excellent gloss levels and durability result. As a consequence many of our products are guaranteed for ten years against peeling, flaking and cracking.
